Charismatic, full-throated & unforced…
Since 2008, BOOL is on the road with numerous of Shows in Clubs, Festivals, Radio and TV-Stations and they are known for their energetic Live-Shows. The focus of the band is on the Live-Shows and the close contact to the audience. In 2010 succeeded BOOL with their CD “My Spirit” the international breakthrough. With their brilliant Ibiza-Tour and their acclaimed performances at the Redbull-Tourbus, the Essen-Original Festival with around 200.000 Visitors and other Club and Open-Air highlights, BOOL enchanted the people.
Established in 2007 BOOL released their first (3 Tracks) EP “No Return” in the same year. In January 2008 the guys started directly as Tour supporter for the VIVA-Band “Debbie Rockt” on the “Rock Mich Am Arsch” – Germany tour. The song “You And Me” from the EP “No Return” was used by the US Corporations HP, Intel, Microsoft for a commercial marketing campaign. This was helpful for the young band to get a higher attention – also outside of German market.
Their second EP “Gift Pack” followed in 2008. Surprise! Surprise! BOOL were awarded with the Music Award as one of the best newcomer bands. A short time frame later, BOOL were selected by the Talent Scout from EMI Music Germany and the TV-Music-Station VIVA as a TOP Newcomer Band of Germany.
In September 2009 BOOL announced the work on their third record, which was produced in the “Absurd Studio Hamburg”. With the release of “My Spirit” and the following Videoclip-Premiere in 2010, BOOL reached again international recognition. The TV-Music-Station “iM1” set the music video “The Spirit & Me & My Special Guitar” to the highest level of rotation and catapulted the band to a clear notoriety.
In course of this publication many shows were following. In May / June the guys started their “Durst Unplugged Tour”. Just arrived at home (fasten your seat belt!) BOOL went to the international promotion tour to Ibiza. Tour guides like Neckermann Reisen reported about BOOL, which were just on Ibiza. Other performances followed, such as the RedBull Tourbus, the Essen-Original-Festival and the Tour of Germany, which was planned in the late summer months, during the Cultural Capital Year. They also enjoyed increasing popularity by radio stations in England and Denmark.
In 2014 they are invited to the 20th anniversary of the band “In Extremo” on the open-air stage Loreley with a new festival nameed “20 True Years”. Coincidentally the guys meet with Jon Caffery, he was the yearly producer of “Die Toten Hosen” and since the debut album “Opel-Gang” from the year 1983 to the album “Nur zu Besuch” in 2005 produced most of all the recordings.
From now on Bool starts a new journey with Jon Caffery. Instead of Christmas feelings, loud sounds were announced in December 2015, as part of the pre-production of the new album. At the beginning of 2016 till the mid of the year the guys quartered at the Maarwegstudio2 (formerly: EMI Studios) in Cologne to wrote a new band history. At the end of summer BOOL finished the work on the new album “Fly With Me”. In May 2017, BOOL signed a deal with Boersma Records.
